On our farm, there is one tree that, more than any other, seems to carry an ancient wisdom.

The Stone Pine, or Pinus pinea, is often called "the ancient umbrella" — the ancestral hat. Its large, deep green canopy opens like a protective cloak against the rain and scorching sun, offering shelter and a welcoming, cool shade on the hottest days.

It is a hardy tree, standing strong against time and harsh weather, and its fruits — pine nuts — are a true delicacy of nature.

And, like a true guardian of our farm, it is a daily reminder that we must care for and respect the trees that, through their grandeur, enrich our planet.
