Pentas, also known as Egyptian star cluster or star flower, originate from the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa, showcasing vibrant colours such as pink, magenta, lilac, and white. In cooking, they are primarily used as garnish in salads, desserts, and drinks. Their mild flavour allows them to be used as decoration in various dishes, adding an attractive visual element without significantly altering the flavour profile of the food. Due to their small size, these detachable flowers that grow in clusters are very easy to plate.
