O nosso fim de semana de team building

Our Team Building Weekend

This year, we organised our team building weekend once again.
This time, we headed to Aveiro.
We visited the salt pans, where, thanks to Filipe, we learned about the importance of salt - the "white gold" - in the region and its lasting impact today. We also explored and tasted various halophyte plants. This included a visit to Palheiro, where we met Mr João, one of the last salt workers in the area, and bought high-quality salt directly from the source.
We also took a ride on a moliceiro, a boat once used to collect moliço (aquatic plants growing on the submerged bed of the Ria de Aveiro, used as fertiliser) and now used for tourism, with sparkling wine and ovos moles on board.
We had lunch at Salpoente, a long-time customer. Thank you, Chef Duarte Eira, and your entire team, both in the kitchen and front-of-house, for the memorable meal and warm welcome.
It was wonderful to finally put faces to names! It was also invaluable for our team to see how our products are used.
With full bellies and a few glasses of wine, we walked it off and watched the sunset at Costa Nova before heading to Montebelo Vista Alegre in Ílhavo.
The next day, as we were at the heart of ceramic craftsmanship, we visited the Vista Alegre Museum and Chapel. We left inspired by the history and vision of its founder, José Ferreira Pinto Basto, and enjoyed a ceramic painting workshop.
On our way back home, we made a (mandatory) stop in Mealhada to visit Rei dos Leitões, another valued customer who has now become a friend.
Thank you so much for the warm service and the feast; we left with full hearts!
It exceeded all expectations!
We have the best team in the world, and we can prove it!
